Hello,

implementing the current mod_clamav version patches the proftpd source,
currently mod_xfer to call clamav after the file is uploaded (but before
it's renamed when HiddenStores is turned on).

This afaik causes inability to scan files uploaded through scp/sftp.

Now I'm asking: Is there a possibility to plug this function using more
standard way, not requiring patching proftpd?

Yes. And I've sent a patch to the mod_clamav author which fixes
mod_clamav to do its job without requiring patching of the core proftpd
code, and so that it can interoperate with mod_sftp better. No response
at all from the mod_clamav author; I'm a little disappointed.
